“You Sexy Thing” is a song recorded by the UK group, hot chocolate. It was wrtten by Hot Chocolate lead singer errol brown. It reached number 2 in the Uk singles chart in 1975, and number 3 in the U.S. pop charts a year later.
The song was originally a 1975 B-side. Not convinced that the song was a hit, producer Most put it on the flip of the Hot Chocolate 45rpm single ”Blue Night”. The song was remixed at a later date by Most, who re-released it as an A-side some months later on his RAK label. The song was a massive hit.
At the time the song was written, there were some that thought the song should be banned or restricted, due to the relatively (for the time) frank exposition of the singer’s praise and thanks for a woman who is willing to make love to him.
